Ghana Oil wells Production for Tullow
Tullow Oil is set to drill and complete seven wells on its two major fields off Ghana this year as it targets a ramp-up in production.
The Anglo-Irish independent is also ready to bring online the second of two new producers drilled on the Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme (TEN) field last year in about a month.
The seven fresh wells will be drilled across the TEN and Jubilee fields, where two rigs were in operation last year.
Between them, the rigs drilled two producers and one water injector on each of the fields in 2018.
“The results from drilling were in line with, or exceeded, pre-drill expectations”, Tullow said in its second-half trading statement on Wednesday.
On the TEN field, the first producer – NT05-P – was brought online in August, while the second – EN10-P – is currently being completed and should be online in mid-February.
Gross production from its Ghana operations last year averaged 142,500 barrels per day of oil – 78,000 bpd from Jubilee and 64,500 bpd from TEN.
For this year, Tullow expects total gross output from the two to hit around 180,000bpd, with 96,000bpd from Jubilee and 83,000bpd from TEN.
Tullow’s net oil production from all operations last year was 88,200bpd. For this year it is seen between 93,000 and 101,000 bpd. Inclusive of gas, net annual production this year is seen between 94,000 and 102,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
